1951 Bowman #2 Yogi Berra PSA 9 MINT - Highest PSA Example!

MINT YOGI!!! Directly following the #1 Chairman of the Board subject in the hallowed 1951 Bowman set is Ford's HOF batterymate Yogi Berra, and it is his #2 subject that is presented here in an absolutely breathtaking PSA 9 MINT holder. One of only eight PSA 9 encapsulated specimens, it proudly resides as the finest of its kind! Lawrence "Yogi" Berra was as close to the perfect catcher our National Pastime has ever seen, and along with the great Johnny Bench, Berra is arguably considered baseball's greatest all-time catcher. Highly noted for his clutch performances on baseball's grandest stages, Berra's World Series records includes: 14 appearances, 10 championships, 75 games, and 71 hits. If that isn't enough, he won three MVP awards and played in a remarkable 15 All-Star games.

This exact same offering sold for a staggering $48K in the spring of 2023, and its breathtaking eye appeal truly substantiates the momentous price tag. Berra's classic '51 Bowman lithographic portrait pose literally jumps off the card with its impeccable clarity and sparkling hues. Atypically, the image reveals near-perfect 50/50 positioning between four mildly toned borders, and it's no secret amongst the most meticulous collectors that finding any '51 Bowman subject with excellent centering is an excruciating task. Additional pack-fresh attributes are razor-sharp corners, a flawless obverse side illustration, and a relatively clean verso eluding any glaring gum stains. One of the premier 1951 Bowman Berra specimens extant, it resides at the top of the PSA Pop Chart, with its pinnacle stature synonymous with Berra's remarkable Hall of Fame career!
