NO REPEAT PASS!!! Back in the World Series in 1925, the reigning champion Washington Nationals, led by Walter Johnson, Goose Goslin and Sam Rice, now faced the Pittsburgh Pirates, featuring their own stars that included Kiki Cuyler, Pie Traynor and Max Carey. Unfortunately for the Nationals, back-to-back titles was not to be as the Pirates toppled the champs in a hard-fought seven-game series to win their second World Series in franchise history. Offered is a Press Pass issued for Washington D.C.'s Griffith Stadium, host of Games Three, Four & Five. Tied at one game apiece at the start of Game Three, Washington won the first two at home and then lost three straight to relinquish the crown. The Press Pass offered here is in impressive condition with little aging save for some toning and includes the original olive-green string lanyard. This delightful cancelled/punched World Series Press Pass is the only one encased by PSA.
