Joe DiMaggio Signed Limited Edition 56-Game Hitting Streak Bat #1285/1941 PSA/DNA LOA
A limited edition of 1,941 signed bats were created for Joe DiMaggio's 56-game hitting streak. 8,682 fans were at Yankee Stadium on July 2, 1941 to witness a home run that will remain a piece of baseball history. In the bottom of the 5th inning, a young mid-20s Joe DiMaggio crushed a two-run home run over the left field fence off Red Sox pitcher Dick Newsome, breaking Willie Keeler's 44-year-old record by hitting safely in 45 consecutive games. That season, it didn't stop there. DiMaggio ended up hitting safely in 56 consecutive games. Signed in blue Sharpie, this bat is a must for the advanced Yankees fan.
