TOPPS ADVERTISING!!! Who better to represent Topps in 1954 than two-time American League MVP Ted Williams? Prior to the remarkable exploits of both Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays, Williams was far and away the best hitter of his time and could easily have been a five-time MVP award recipient. Offered here is a series of five progressive advertising prints from the Topps Company for their 1954 promotional campaign for boxes as well as counter and window displays. Each black-and-white progressive proof, or prog, presents a phase of the production process with each lightly marked with a color scheme for that stage's process. This is an excellent collection of Topps' memorabilia displaying the inner workings of the marketing display process to be distributed nationwide.
