SPORTS PIX RUTH!!! The most popular subject from the ever-elusive 1960s Sports Pix Premium set is the incomparable Babe Ruth, presented here in a PSA 1 PR holder. Originally released in 1960 in large (8-1/2" x 10-1/2") and small (8" x 10") dimensions, these premiums are extremely condition sensitive due to the thin fragile stock, with this PSA 1 Small Bambino offering one of only six total examples on the PSA census report. Distributed as blanked-backed premiums for the renowned Sports Pix Magazine, this keepsake depicts the Sultan of Swat in a classic headshot pose, with baseball's greatest all-time player showcasing a stoic facial expression. While the assessment is due to various areas of glue (possibly tape) residue along the upper border and verso, it is the Ruth illustration that steals the show, turning back the clock!
