1953-55 Dormand Oversized Postcard Mickey Mantle Bat on Shoulder 6" x 9" PSA 3 VG – POP 3; Only Two PSA Examples Graded Higher!
OVERSIZED MANTLE!!! One of the most popular Mickey Mantle collectibles are his Dormand Postcards issued from 1953–1955, with the much scarcer 6" x 9" oversized variation presented here in a stellar PSA 3 holder. One of only three examples at this eye-pleasing plateau, only two paltry specimens have been graded higher. Substantiating its immense rarity versus the smaller-sized Bat on Shoulder postcard, only 12 TOTAL larger-sized copies are listed on the PSA Pop Chart versus a whopping 140 smaller examples. The classic images of the famous NY photographer Louis Dormand are portrayed on these beautiful postcards that were distributed by the Mason Candy Co., with larger-sized cards only issued for Mickey Mantle and Phil Rizzuto.
