(LOT 907)
1952 Topps #113 Dick Sisler PSA 9 MINT

BIG CAT SISLER!!! Dick Sisler, son of Hall of Famer, George Sisler, enjoyed a lucrative eight-year career in the Major Leagues as well. However, the younger Sisler did something his HOF father did not, and that was play in and ultimately win a World Series as Dick was a member of the 1946 World Champions St. Louis Cardinals. He also helped lead the 1950 Philadelphia Phillies "Whiz Kids" to the National League pennant before falling to the NY Yankees. Dick played eight years with the Cardinals, Phillies and Cincinnati, and was an NL All-Star in 1950. Offered here is his 1952 Topps #113 issue in a PSA 9 MINT holder. This is the highest graded card in the hobby, and rightfully so. The centering is virtually dead-on, and the image seemingly leaps off the card amidst the flamingo-pink background. Couple that with the flawless surfaces, blood-drawing corners and crystal-clear reverse, and this is every bit worthy of its 9 MINT status. Only seven others achieved this highest grade.
