1932 U.S. Caramel #32 Babe Ruth PSA 2 GOOD

SCARCE CARAMEL RUTH!!! Presented here is a seldom-surfacing PSA 2 GOOD Babe Ruth 1932 U.S. Caramel issue, with any U.S. Caramel Ruth residing as a mere fraction versus the 1933 Goudey Ruth population. Currently, there are only some 150 PSA encapsulated U.S. Caramel Ruths versus a substantial 5,300+ PSA Goudey Ruths for all four subjects (an average of some 1,325 per subject!). Simple math tells us that the 1932 U.S. Caramel Ruth PSA population is only 11% of a single Goudey Ruth, substantiating why this PSA 2 example is a most significant offering.

Collectors are catching on to the relative scarcity of the U.S. Caramel Ruth, with a PSA 8 fetching $200,000 in a Spring 2023 public auction. Ruth's eclectic portrait pose is unique for the U.S. Caramel subject, with no other Ruth issue depicting this classic image. Also scarce is the GEORGE "BABE" RUTH text above his Yankees cap, with scattered soiling/toning, some stray creases and even corner wear accounting for the assessment. Regardless, the overall splendid eye appeal places this offering as one of the Sultan of Swat's most significant cardboard keepsakes, issued during the season when the Babe would turn the baseball world upside down with his iconic Called Shot home run in the 1932 World Series!
