(LOT 262)
c.1971-74 Hank Aaron PSA Type 1 Encapsulated Photo – Measures Approx. 8" x 10"

CLASSIC AARON!!! One of our National Pastime's most historic moments took place on April 8, 1974 at Atlanta's Fulton County Stadium, when Henry Aaron would blast an Al Dowing fastball into the Dodgers bullpen for his record-setting 715th home run. Indeed, Aaron's majestic wallop would finally surpass the Babe's magical 714 mark, and while Barry Bonds has since eclipsed Hank's 755 dingers, Bonds' alleged use of PEDs has tainted his 762 mark. This exalted c.1971-74 PSA Type 1 offering was issued in that momentous era, portraying the immortal slugger completing his classic swing. Other than some diminutive spottiness, the vividly registered obverse side surface is super clean, with the blank back exhibiting what appears to be some negligible glue remnants along the right edge. An original Hammerin' Hank illustration, it was taken during the period when the legendary batsman would break one of baseball's most revered records!
