(LOT 99)
1957 Topps #20 Hank Aaron PSA 8.5 NM-MT+

BOYISH BRAVE!!! It took 43 years and a relocation for the Boston/Milwaukee Braves to hoist the World Series trophy again, winning in 1914 over the Philadelphia A's, losing to Cleveland in 1948, and finally returning to glory in 1957, led by 23-year-old Hank Aaron and 25-year-old Eddie Mathews. On the hill was the nearly over-the-hill Warren Spahn at 36, as well as Lew Burdette and Bob Buhl. Aaron proved the catalyst for the 1957 Braves as he posted a .322 average, collected 198 hits, including 44 home runs and drove in 132 runs. Honored with the NL MVP at season's end, Aaron beat out three-time MVP Stan Musial for the award. And at only 23, Hank Aaron had so much more to offer.

Over the course of his 23-year career, Aaron led the NL in home runs, doubles, slugging and RBIs four times, three times in runs scored, and 47 years after he retired, he remains the all-time RBI (2,297) and total bases (6,856) leader. Hammerin' Hank was far more than the player who surpassed Babe Ruth's home run record; he was one of the most consistent sluggers EVER. Offered is a 1957 Topps #20 Hank Aaron graded 8.5 NM-MT+ by PSA. Absolutely perfect centering on this marvel with clarity to rival even the best of issues. Striking color and a near-perfect reverse serve to substantiate this high-grade from PSA.
