1948 Leaf #34 Sammy Baugh Maroon Jersey Rookie PSA 8 NM-MT – Highest PSA Example!
SLINGIN' SAMMY!!! The immortal gridiron Hall of Famer Sammy Baugh was the best player of his time in three positions: quarterback, defensive back, and punter. When he retired, Sammy held 13 different records at those three positions, two of which still stand today, including the most passing titles with six (tied with Steve Young), and the most seasons (5) with the lowest interception percentage. He won two championships, was a 1963 charter member of Pro Football's Hall of Fame, and once intercepted four passes and threw four touchdown passes in the same game against the Detroit Lions!
His most prized football issue is his 1948 Leaf #34 rookie subject, with Baugh's Maroon Jersey variation presented here in a spectacular PSA 8 holder. One of only ten examples at this hallowed tier, it proudly stands as the highest graded specimen! Slinging Sammy's classic quarterback pose is near immaculate as the immortal signal caller is about to toss another TD pass. Portraying near-perfect centering between four dazzling white borders, the image's crystal-clear clarity, sparkling blue/maroon hues, pack-fresh surfaces, and pinpoint corners are the final compliments for this pinnacle PSA keepsake!
