1954 Sports Illustrated First Issue CGC 9.0
This is the first issue of Sports Illustrated dated August 16th, 1954. Graded a 9.0 by CGC (Certified Guaranty Company). 9.0 refers to the condition as well as "White Pages" on the interior. This is the Eddie Mathews "Night Baseball In Milwaukee" cover. A very clean copy of the first issue of Sports Illustrated, which contains the 1954 Baseball Card insert. A true piece of Sports Illustrated history, authenticated and graded a 9.0.
