(LOT 1651)
President Harry S. Truman Single-Signed Baseball PSA & JSA LOAs

HARRY S. BASEBALL!!! The Presidency and baseball have enjoyed a partnership for more than a century with the Commander in Chief throwing out the ceremonial first pitch. The initial first pitch was delivered by William Howard Taft in 1910 at Washington's Griffith Stadium. Following the end of World War II, Harry S. Truman threw out the ceremonial first pitch of the 1945 World Series. He would, in fact, throw out eight first pitches, seven on Opening Day from 1946-1952. This century-long union has thus created a unique market for single-signed Presidential autographed baseballs. Harry S. Truman has graciously signed this baseball on the sweet spot in blue ballpoint of this rare "OFFICIAL Babe Ruth League Baseball". The autograph has boldly stood the test of time and, in our opinion, rates near mint with a very small flair off the end of the President's last name. Despite the moderate toning surrounding the sweet spot and autograph, Harry S. Truman's signature really pops and would be an incredible addition to your Presidential Single-Signed Baseball Collection. Scattered light toning is evident, but this creamy baseball is a real beauty. Baseball includes PSA and JSA LOAs.
