1961 Fleer #152 Ted Williams PSA 9 MINT
RECENTLY RETIRED WILLIAMS!!! The accolades for Ted Williams seem endless, and his 521 home runs and two MVPs are astounding, especially considering he lost three years to military service. And he could arguably have won four additional MVPs based on the numbers. So, when the 1961 Fleer baseball card set was released, the season after Williams' retirement, it was abundantly clear that the Splendid Splinter needed be included. Not even Joe DiMaggio, who won three of Williams would-be MVPs, was not included. The offered 1961 Fleer #152 Ted Williams graded 9 MINT by PSA is the highest graded example with fewer than ten matching this elite grade. This fantastically well-centered Williams shows the Red Sox outfielder leisurely resting in the dugout against a vibrant yellow background. The colors and image leap from the card with the edges and corners appearing razor-sharp. The verso displays fabulous color and crystal-clear registration. This is a marvelous example presenting every aspect you would expect from a 9 MINT example. An upgrade card for even the best collection!
