1970 Baseball Awards Dinner Signed Program with souvenir Louisville Slugger mini bat. This program has been signed by Baseball Hall of Famers, Stars and more. Signatures include Curt Gowdy, Casey Stengel, Bob Gibson, Sadaharu Oh, George Weiss, Boog Powell, Bowie Kuhn, Ernie Banks, Willie Mays, Don Drysdale, Johnny Bench, Walter O'Malley, Joe DiMaggio and Walt Alston.This baseball awards dinner program includes the entire menu. In addition to that, Bob Hope was the master of ceremonies. Unless you were present at this function, you could not find another one like this which lends to it's scarcity. On this night, 37 years ago, there were many awards given out! A true rarity in the sports memorabilia industry. This piece is also in Near Mint condition. In addition to this rare signed program, comes the original press release titled, "BASEBALL HONORS OWN STARS AT LOS ANGELES AWARDS DINNER". In this press release, it lists the winners of these prestigious awards. Willie Mays won for "best player who typifies the game on and off the field", John Bench won player of the year award, Brooks Robinson won best defensive player of the year, Bob Gibson won pitcher of the year, Danny Murtaugh won for manager of the year, Harry Dalton was picked for Major League Executive of the year and Roger Freed for minor league player of the year.
