1960 HIT KINGS!!! In 1960, the National League batting title went to eventual National League MVP and World Series champion Dick Groat of the Pittsburgh Pirates, who batted .325 for the season. Followed by LA's Norm Larker (.323), Giants center fielder Willie Mays (.319) and Pirates teammate Roberto Clemente (.314), the four batted .320 for the season as a whole.
