TOUGH ROBERTO!!! Roberto Clemente on his '57 Topps edition. According to the reverse, the young star "thrived on Major League pitching last season". Batting .311 in 1956, that was only a precursor to what lay ahead. Clemente led the NL four times in batting average and captured the 1960 & '71 World Series and the 1966 NL MVP.
