c.1951 Pee Wee Reese Original Type 1 Photo by Barney Stein Used for 1953 Topps Baseball Card PSA/DNA LOA
Though slight in stature, Pee Wee Reese was a durable infielder who helped the Dodgers stay atop the National League during his Hall of Fame career. This gorgeous Barney Stein masterpiece depicts a beaming Reese in his home uniform, with blue skies and a few clouds providing the background. This was the same photo from which Reese's 1953 Topps issue was derived. The reverse features a "Brooklyn National League Baseball Club" stamp and a few other notations and measures 7-3/8" x 9-1/4". Encapsulated Authentic by PSA as a Type 1 photograph and is accompanied by additional PSA/DNA LOA. This photo was used to produce his 1953 Topps baseball card.
