1954 Red Heart Stan Musial PSA 9 MINT
RED HEART REDBIRD!!! Stan Musial was the face of the St. Louis Cardinals for more than eight decades, 25 years as a player and another 50-plus years as an executive and ambassador. Musial began his career in 1938 and made his Major League debut in 1941. From 1941 to 1963, giving his 1945 season to the US Navy, Stan the Man led the National League seven times in batting average and slugging, and OBP six times. He posted only four seasons of his 22 years with the Redbirds batting below .300. More than a decade after his death, he still remains one of the most beloved Cardinals in history, and he is widely considered one of the top 10 hitters in Major League history. In 1953, Musial led the NL in doubles, walks and OBP, as highlighted on the reverse of this 1954 Red Heart issue of Stan Musial, graded 9 MINT by PSA. This fittingly red background example features spot-on centering, extraordinary centering and crystal-clear surfaces. This 9 MINT card is one of only ten at the highest grade with none graded higher. This is without a doubt one of the finest 1954 Red Heart Musials that we have ever had the pleasure to offer. Don't let The Man get past you!
