A bona fide PSA POP 1, finest of its kind marvel, the pinnacle 6.5 assessment outdistances its closest SGC 4 VG-EX peer by a resounding 2.5 grades, easily presenting itself in near-mint+ fashion. The utmost rarity of this offering cannot be overemphasized, with SGC's census report revealing a meager four specimens graded lower. In the Spring of 1916, the Chicago-based Felix Mendelsohn Publishing Co. issued a 200-subject M101-5 blank-back group of baseball cards as a promotional tool for their popular brand. Later that year, other manufacturers placed their product ads on the flipsides of the very similar 200-subject set in lieu of the advertisement success of the inaugural M101-5 issue. While some of the manufacturer ad backs are more common (e.g., Sporting News; Famous & Barr), one of the obscure advertisements is from The Globe Stores, which issued a standard M101-4 player checklist as opposed to the M101-5 issued set.
