SLIDING BAMBINO!!! The 1928 Fro-Joy Ruth #4 "When The Babe Comes Home!" subject depicts a splendid image of the Bambino sliding into home plate, with this PSA 6 marvel being one of only three PSA specimens at this lofty plateau and a paltry three examples graded higher! Aside from the breathtaking Ruth sliding pose, the additional highlight of this elusive offering is the momentous caption that eloquently reads: Feet first, the "Babe" beats the ball to the home plate by inches. He doesn't have to do this often. Usually he "dog trots" around after a circuit smash. But when the occasion arises, the "Big Bat Boy", in spite of his bulk, can run bases with the best of them. Captivating to say the least, we cannot recall any other Ruth cardboard issue depicting the Sultan of Swat sliding into home plate, with this unique pose and scarce PSA 6 assessment worthy of the highest hobby accolades!
