1928 Harrington's Ice Cream #6 Babe Ruth PSA 3.5 VG+ – POP 3
ICE CREAM BABE!!! In 1928, a number of popular ice cream companies issued a 60-card baseball card set with their brand products, including Yuengling's, Tharp and Harrington's. Presented here is Babe Ruth's highly coveted Harrington's Ice Cream PSA 3.5 VG+ heirloom, with only two other PSA examples existing at this plateau. Values for eclectic 1920s Babe Ruth cards are rising every day, with the Bambino's undisputed title as baseball's greatest player sparking this staggering inflation. Unlike purchasing a Ruth Goudey card, a more excruciating task is locating any of his 1920s issues. Ruth's classic black & white pitching pose portrays him in his Boston Red uniform and is the exact same image affixed to his classic 1920 M101-6 Felix Mendelsohn issue. Fine contrast is slightly compromised by an image tilt towards the upper right corner, and no glaring surface flaws are evident on either side. A relatively clean redemption back indicates you could trade in the entire set for a gallon of Harrington's ice cream or swap a single Babe Ruth card for an ice cream bar. A bona fide winner, this undervalued Ruth issue has immense investment potential due to its relative paucity level versus other mainstream Ruth cards!
