1958 NY Baseball Writers Dinner Multi-Signed Scorecard w/Mantle, Mays, Campy (two days before accident) & VP Nixon (18 Sigs) - PSA & JSA LOA
The 1957 World Series pitted the New York Yankees against the Milwaukee Braves which the Braves won in seven games. Mickey Mantle was the American League MVP and Willie Mays led the NL in stolen bases and runs. Roy Campanella had a down year at the plate, but finished the season with an exceptional .993 fielding percentage. And, Bobby Thomson rejoined the Giants. So, at the 1958 New York Baseball Writers' "Thirty-Fifth Annual – Eating and Oratorical Contest" held at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel on January 26, baseball writers, players, executives, personnel and enthusiasts surely had plenty to discuss.

Offered here is an "Official 5-cent Score Card/Program from that event signed by multiple baseball executives including Warren Giles, William Harridge and Ford Frick. This amazingly well-preserved PSA-encapsulated (Authentic) program also features signatures of Hall of Famers including Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays, Phil Rizzuto, Yogi Berra and Whitey Ford. The autographs appear in both blue ballpoint pen and pencil at an 8-9 strength overall. Notably, Roy Campanella's pencil signature can be found on the upper right front cover. This Roy Campanella signature is likely one of the last autographs the Dodgers legend penned prior to his horrific paralyzing automobile accident two days later on January 28th. Also included are Phil Rizzuto, Bill Rigney, Casey Stengel and then-Vice President of the United States, Richard Nixon. This is a tremendous baseball relic featuring some of the most historic figures in our National Pastime's history. JSA LOA included.
