1977 Topps #476 Rookie Catchers – Dale Murphy Rookie Card - PSA 10 GEM MINT - Highest Graded Example!
MURPHY ROOKIE!!!... One of the best non-Hall of Fame players to ever grace a baseball diamond, Dale Murphy commenced his 18-year MLB career as a rookie catcher for the Atlanta Braves in 1976. After two seasons, the Braves moved Murphy to centerfield, with the seven-time all-star belting 30 or homers six different seasons, including a career high 44 round-trippers in 1987. He ended his stellar career with 398 homers and 1,266 runs batted in, as well as winning five consecutive Gold Glove Awards for his outstanding play in centerfield.
Murphy's most valuable card is his inaugural 1977 Topps #476 Rookie Catcher's subject, presented here in a spectacular PSA 10 GEM MINT holder. Sharing the spotlight with three other rookie catchers (Gary Alexander; Rick Cerone & Kevin Pasley), virtually every aspect of this Topps masterpiece is synonymous with sheer perfection including image quality, sparkling hues, dazzling white borders, pack-fresh surfaces and blistering sharp corner tips. Dale Murphy's finest card, it has survived 46 years to present itself in its original factory-issued pristine state!
