Indeed, like the iconic Cobb, this extraordinary scarcity has managed to survive in super eye pleasing condition, with most of these ultra-condition sensitive cards reflecting poor technical assessments. In 1928, a number of popular ice cream manufacturers issued baseball cards with their brand products including Yuengling's, Tharp's and Harrington's, with Tharp's the rarest of the three.

Regarding Cobb, unlike his plentiful pre-1920 tobacco and candy card issues, it is a significantly tougher task obtaining his more obscure 1920s caramel and ice cream card issues. Justifying this notion is the total number of Tharp's Cobb cards (only eight SGC examples) representing less than 0.5% of his more common T206 subjects.
