(LOT 1759)
Excellent Reggie Jackson Game-Issued Louisville Slugger J93 Bat

There were virtually no hitters more feared during the 1970s than Oakland A & New York Yankee Reggie Jackson. Reggie hit 292 home runs and collected 922 RBIs in the '70s, but his 14 home runs and 38 RBIs in postseason play were unmatched among his contemporaries. Because of his clutch postseason hitting, the press and fans nicknamed the Yankees outfielder "Mr. October" following a 3-HR game in Game 6 of the 1977 World Series to ice the Series and capture the title. Offered here is a game-issued Louisville Slugger J93 Professional Model bat. Much of the bat remains relatively clean with minimal blemishes. The barrel does feature a handful of ball marks and bat rack streaks as well as wear at the barrel end from both storage and age. This 32-ounce and 34-3/8" bat from Mr. October is still in spectacular shape with game-use evident on the barrel making this one to own for the Hall of Fame bat collector!
