Joe Morgan Autographed Game-Used Louisville Slugger M253 PSA/DNA COA

After nine seasons in Houston with the Colt .45s and Astros, Joe Morgan was traded to the Cincinnati Reds as one of the final cogs in the machine that became the Big Red Machine. Morgan impressed from the start in Cincy as he grabbed an All-Star nod leading the National League in runs scored, walks and on-base percentage. In '73, he earned his first of five straight Gold Gloves and in 1975 and '76, Joe led the Reds to back-to-back World Series titles alongside Pete Rose, Johnny Bench, Tony Perez, Dave Concepcion and George Foster. Joe Morgan was named the NL MVP in each of those years.

Presented is a 1983 Joe Morgan 33-ounce, 34" game-used bat displaying moderate wear along the barrel. This PSA/DNA uncracked Louisville Slugger M253 Professional Model bat holds a number of ball and cleat marks along the barrel as well as evidence of red and blue bat rack streaking. Minimal pine tar can be found on the handle. Beneath the Joe Morgan professional bat model stamping, Morgan has signed in black Sharpie ("7-8" str.) with "1983" indicating his use of the lumber as a member of the 1983 Philadelphia Phillies, his only season in Philadelphia. The number "8" has been written in black marker on the handle end, as is the #32 indicating the weight of the bat. PSA/DNA COA included for auto only, (AL56098).
