1947 Goudey Indian Gum Pack/Box Re-Issue with 10 Cards
GOUDEY'S LAST ISSUE!!! Goudey's final trading card issue was the 1947 Indian Gum set, known in the industry as (R773). It was a 96-card reissue of some of the cards from the 216 card 1933 Indian Gum series. The cards measures 2-3/8" x 2-7/8" in size, and features identical images and card titles to the originals issued in 1933. The only difference is the 1933 set used green ink on the card backs, while black ink was the color used for the backs of the 1947 set. Offered here is a group of ten cards and an original empty box that housed multiple cards and gum. Condition of the cards is EX-NM and are as follows: #s 66 (2), 84, 86, 88, 89 (2), 90, 94 & 96. The Box is visually in NM condition, but has a very small surface wrinkle, and looks as it did when it was just purchased back in 1947. RARE FIND!!
