1975 Topps #620 Gary Carter Rookie PSA 10 GEM MINT

CARTER ROOKIE!!! No longer an underrated issue, presented here is one of the most sought-after rookie cards from the 1970s, an extraordinary PSA 10 Gem Mint 1975 Topps #620 marvel representing Gary Carter's inaugural subject. One of a mere 17 PSA examples reflecting the hallowed 10 assessment. Synonymous with the elusive assessment are the outstanding catching skill-sets Hall of Famer Gary Carter displayed for 19 MLB seasons. Nicknamed "The Kid", Carter blasted 324 lifetime round-trippers, was an 11-time All-Star, captured three gold-glove awards and as team captain, led the N.Y. Mets to their second World Championship in 1986. Although Carter shares his rookie card with catcher Marc Hill and outfielders Danny Meyer/Leon Roberts, it's The Kid that truly steals the show.

Situated in the upper left quadrant, Carter reveals his Montreal Expos helmet and chest protector as he provides the camera with one of his good-natured grins. Atypically, the image reveals near-perfect positioning between the gleaming pink and yellow borders that have somehow eluded any loss of color, an archetypal attribute of most 1975 Topps subjects. Indeed folks, the combined virtually 50/50 centering and flawless borders is a near impossible feat for nearly any 1975 Topps subject. A sparkling surface reveals all of its original gloss, the razor-sharp perimeter includes four scintillating corner tips and no flaws are evident on either side. This is an immaculate Gary Carter PSA 10 rookie card offering!
