Ironically, for all of Roberto Clemente's world-class achievements including four batting titles, 15 all-star appearances, 12 consecutive gold gloves, an NL MVP and 1971 World Series MVP award, synonymous with Lou Gehrig's legendary status, Clemente's legacy will forever be linked to his heroic death that stands as a defining testament for his immortal stature. This circa 1970s PSA Type 1 image of the immortal right fielder portrays the Hall of Famer in a stoic standing pose, donning his Pittsburgh Pirates home uniform as he leans on his mighty lumber with glove and ball tucked under his left armpit.

Most likely taken at a Spring Training facility, this breathtaking early 1970s Clemente illustration resides as one of the finest Clemente poses we have ever encountered.
