JUDGE'S DREAM TICKET!!! Thus far, in only six full seasons of Major League play, New York Yankees right fielder Aaron Judge has a career which dreams are made of. Beginning with his 2017 rookie year, Judge unanimously won the American League Rookie of the Year with a league-leading 128 runs, 52 home runs and 127 walks as well as an exceptional 114 RBIs. So, when MLB announced the Field of Dreams Game to be played in Dyersville, Iowa, site of the Academy Award nominated Field of Dreams film starring Kevin Costner and Ray Liotta, Judge and the Yankees were understandably chosen to play the Chicago White Sox as the first combatants on one of Iowa's most popular tourist attractions. The W.P. Kinsella book Shoeless Joe was adapted into the film in 1989 and it has since become one of the defining baseball movies of all time.

The game was played under the lights on a beautiful evening in Dyersville in front of a sold-out 7,832 crowd that packed the 8,000-seat stadium. With five lead changes, the game was ultimately won on a 2-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth by White Sox Tim Anderson. However, as his dream career might predict, Judge put two home run baseballs into the corn fields over right field.
