1970 Topps #75 Lew Alcindor PSA 9 MINT
SIX-TIME NBA MVP!!! Few NBA players can rival Abdul-Jabbar's amazing achievements substantiating his stature as one of the five greatest NBA player of all time. Even after having retired more than 33 years ago, Kareem still stands as the NBA's leading scorer of all time. His revolutionary sky hook devastated opponents from the outside attempting to defend the Lakers center. Over his 20 years in the NBA, all with the Lakers, Alcindor, turned Abdul-Jabbar in 1971, scored 38,387 points, captured 17,440 rebounds and offered 5,660 assists while winning six NBA Championships, six Most Valuable Player Awards and a record 19 NBA All-Star Game nods.
Abdul-Jabbar was superior to nearly all of his contemporaries in virtually every way. This card, too, is tops among its counterparts as one of only a few dozen at this level with only a single card graded higher. The brilliantly colored PSA 9 card of the youthful Milwaukee center features sharp corners bright white borders and pristine surfaces. This high-grade example is one of the finest in the hobby and belongs in the best of 1970 Topps Basketball sets. Alcindor on his Rookie is unquestionably one of the most sought-after 1st-year cards and the cornerstone of the '70 Topps issue.
