That said, presented here is a spectacular PSA 8 NM-MT Berk Ross Williams that has only been bested by a single PSA example! Synonymous with virtually all 1950s cardboard issues, the Ted Williams Berk Ross subject stands as one of the set's most prominent and valuable players from the 72-card "Hit Parade of Champions" series issued by the New York City based Berk Ross company.
The 1952 campaign would see The Kid play in only six games with 12 measly plate appearances before he would be packing his bags for Korea. A true American hero, Williams would shoot down 16 enemy aircraft, courtesy of his uncanny eyesight that enabled him to ultimately become our National Pastime's greatest all-time hitter. This PSA 8 masterpiece reveals a sensational bust/portrait image of the legendary Ted who graces its viewers with a candid good-natured grin. Donning his classic Boston Red Sox home flannels, atypically, the illustration reveals near-perfect centering, with a majority of Berk Ross cards exhibiting skewed images.
