FLATBUSH ROYALTY!!! Edwin "Duke" Snider earned the respect of his teammates and adoration of Brooklyn fans, substantiating the "Duke" nickname bestowed upon him by his father. Snider was one of the great New York center fielders of the 1950s, playing 16 seasons with the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers. Over his 18-year career, the Duke hit 407 home runs, batted .295 with 1,333 RBIs while leading the Dodgers to six National League pennants and two World Series titles (1955, 1959).
