He was only 24 when he captured the coveted prize and also led his Pirates the National League pennant that year alongside his brother Lloyd, Kiki Cuyler, Pie Traynor and a 20-year-old Joe Cronin, all HOFers. As only the seventh player to eclipse the 3,000 hit mark, Waner easily earned his place in Cooperstown finishing his career with 3,152 hits and a .333 batting average. This is one of the finest '34 Waner cards in existence with only a single card graded at this 9 MINT level with no superiors. Still retaining all of its pack-fresh attributes, this one will upgrade even the finest collection.
