Along with the Goudey Gum Company, Boston's DeLong Gum Co. was one of the first manufacturers to issue baseball cards with gum when they produced their popular 24-card set in 1933. Utilizing a sparkling array of red, green, yellow and blue hues, their unique style images only seen on DeLong subjects were affixed to a stadium backdrop and are extremely popular with sophisticated collectors.
