The 1925 Pittsburgh Pirates won the National League pennant by 8-1/2 games over the New York Giants and then denied the Walter Johnson-led Washington Senators of a second straight World Series title. In a hard-fought seven-games Series, the Pirates beat Johnson in Game 7 amassing 15 hits and 9 runs to edge the Senators 9-7 to win the franchise's second World Series championships. Offered is a 7-1/2" x 9" Photo-Craft Studios team photograph. This sepia-toned image remains in great condition with virtually no surface abrasions and only light edge and corner wear at the borders. The right edge shows paper loss, about ½" in size. The reverse is very clean with only a filing notation at bottom right in pencil.
