1921 Original New York Giants World Series Champions 8" x 10" Type 1 Photograph - PSA Encapsulated
The starting rotation for the 1921 New York Giants went 94-59 record with each of the four starters won 15 games or better as they took the National League pennant by four games over the Pittsburgh Pirates. It was the ninth NL pennant in team history. But, the batters were equally dominant boasting four future Hall of Famers in the starting lineup in High Pockets Kelly, Dave Bancroft, Frankie Frisch and Ross Youngs. Facing the Babe Ruth and Home Run Baker-led crosstown Yankees, the Giants toppled the 98-55 Bombers in an experimental best-of-nine series, five games to three. Offered is an original Type 1 photographs encapsulated Authentic by PSA of the World Champion Giants. This well preserved 8" x 10" image is crystal clear with light edge and corner wear and moderate surface abrasions at the upper right portion. Virtually no flaws are visible at the central team image. The back still holds the original paper caption listing the player names by row with only a single pencil notation also present. Very clean 101-year-old photograph!
