1958 Topps #343 Orlando Cepeda Rookie PSA 9 MINT
MINT CEPEDA ROOKIE!!! Cepeda was born to a poor family. His father, Pedro Cepeda, was a baseball player in Puerto Rico, which influenced his interest in the sport from a young age. His first contact with professional baseball was as a batboy for the Santurce Crabbers of Puerto Rico. Pedro Zorilla, the team's owner, persuaded his family to let him attend a New York Giants tryout.
He played for several minor league baseball teams before attracting the interest of the Giants, who had just relocated to San Francisco. Elected to the Hall of Fame in 1999, Orlando continues to be involved with the San Francisco Giants. This MINT Orlando Cepeda Rookie from 1958 is as good as it gets. Nothing graded higher than this bad boy in a PSA MINT 9 holder. The back is as good as the front of this pack-fresh beauty. Bid to own this Registry Set Builder's Card!
