This super scarce 1957 Topps #76 Roberto Clemente offering has been boldly signed by the legendary star in red/violet hued ink, neatly scripted across the lower portion of his classic portrait pose. One of only six PSA authenticated examples, the extremely bold ink signature has appropriately been awarded the hallowed PSA 9 MINT assessment. A rare occurrence, most Clemente signatures tend to be on the lighter side, reflecting his tranquil personality. The card itself emanates "VG" aesthetics, with the notable flaws being even corner wear and a somewhat diagonal crease situated in the upper left quadrant. No glaring blemishes are evident on either side, with the classic pen signature literally "stealing the show."

By 1957, Clemente was on the verge of establishing himself as one of baseball's premier players, fresh off the heels of his stellar '56 campaign whereby he posted his inaugural .300+ batting average (.311). His prominent batting skills coupled with his uncanny "cannon-like" throwing arm all added up to this "one of a kind" icon ultimately becoming one of the finest right-fielders to ever grace a baseball diamond. This obscure signed 1957 Topps card joins only five other scripted examples on the PSA "Pop" Chart, justifying its immense scarcity, with an autographed '57 Topps Clemente representing a fractional 0.11% of the 5,400+ Unsigned specimens!
