(LOT 2139)
Extensive Group of 48 Super Bowl Tickets Full & Stubs - PSA-Graded and Ungraded

In 1961, the American Football League commissioner suggested to establishment of a "World Playoff" game pitting the NFL's best against the AFL's champions for a winner-take-all professional football title game. However, it would take six more years before a title game, the AFL-NFL Championship Game, was first fought in 1966. When the Kansas City Chiefs owner Lamar Hunt inadvertently coined the phrase "Super Bowl" in mid-1960s, the media ran with it and three years later the name stuck. Super Bowl became the official title game name in 1969 when the New York Jets beat the Baltimore Colts 16-7. Since that point, the Super Bowl has become the world's second most watched sporting event annually behind the UEFA Championship League final. Super Bowl Sunday has become an EVENT enjoyed by millions of viewers each year. Offered here is a significant collection of graded and ungraded full tickets and stubs running from 1969 to 2012. This extensive Super Bowl 44-ticket collection consists of two PSA 10s, 14 PSA 9s, 21 PSA 8s, one PSA 7 and three PSA 5 as well as a 1969 Authentic stub and two ungraded stubs (XXVII & XXIV).
