1889 A17 Allen & Ginter World's Champions Second Series Partial Album Including Buck Ewing
By the late 1800s, the tobacco industry started to increase the marketing value of sports cards that were inserted into packs of cigarettes. This partial album was issued with tobacco company Allen & Ginter's second series of sports collector cards, designated N29, that featured fifty athletes from that time frame, including six baseball players. The offered four pages includes the front and back covers, as well as all six images of the baseball cards. Hall of Famer Buck Ewing is the key player as well as James Fogarty, Charles Getzein, George Miller, John Morrell, and James Ryan. Ultra-rare find offered here issued 132 years ago!!
