Gorgeous Gabby Hartnett Single-Signed "OFFICIAL LEAGUE" Baseball - JSA LOA
Charles "Gabby" Hartnett is considered one of the greatest catchers of all time, and more specifically the best of the first half of the 20th Century. Backstopping the Cubs for 19 seasons, he posted a .978 fielding percentage behind the plate with an astonishing 56% caught stealing rate, second only to Brooklyn's Roy Campanella. His Hall of Fame credentials include six All-Star Game appearances and the 1935 NL MVP Award. Offered is an eye-catching "OFFICIAL LEAGUE" single-signed ball signed "Gabby Hartnett – Chicago Cubs" in bold black (8-9) on the right panel. Though not an Official NL Baseball, this "OFFICIAL LEAGUE" ball will suffice. Colored a brilliant white and ivory hue, this ball looks as if it just emerged from its box and was handed to Hartnett yesterday. This sphere shows little to no aging aside from slight handling from perhaps "show and tell". This is one of the finest single signed Hartnett baseballs we have ever seen!
