(LOT 1742)
Coors Field Inaugural GOLD Card #6/10 (Made of 1 Troy Ounce of Fine Gold)

This Coors Gold Inaugural Gold Precious Metals Card was made in 1995 by Mitsubishi for Powell Associates and contains 1 Troy Ounce of Fine Gold. On the front is a painting by Jeff Lauwers of a pitcher and the front of Coors Field. This card contains 1 troy ounce of gold! (999.9) This is #6 of only 10 LIMITED VIP EDITION Gold Cards and carries serial #006. Licensed by Major League Baseball, this is one piece of gold you don't want to miss. After two seasons in Mile High Stadium, the Colorado Rockies took up permanent residence in their new home, COORS FIELD. Designed by HOK Sports of Kansas City, Missouri, COORS FIELD was built on the corner of 20th and Blake Street in the lower downtown district (LoDo) of Denver.

Comprised of red brick, natural sandstone and structural steel, COORS FIELD immediately identifies with the LoDo warehouse district and the site's rail yard heritage. The facility is also decorated by 40 Terra-Cotta Columbine tiles, representing Colorado's state flower. Originally designed as a 43,000-seat ballpark, additional seating was added due to the tremendous attendance for the first two seasons of Rockies' baseball bringing the total seating capacity to 50,200. The stadium provides a majestic view of the Rocky Mountains (including Longs Peak and Mt. Evans, two of Colorado's 14,000-plus ft. peaks), demonstrating why COORS FIELD is truly a baseball "diamond". A must for the Colorado Rockies' fan who wants the best of the best!
