(LOT 736)
"Unique for the Grade" 1954 Bowman #186 Russell Meyer PSA 10 GEM MINT – "POP 1": The SOLE Highest Graded Example!

Right-handed twirler Russ Meyer spent 13 years in the major leagues, and while he will never be enshrined in Cooperstown, New York, he did manage to be part of the legendary Brooklyn Dodgers team that finally bested the Yankees in the 1955 World Series. Synonymous with that world title are the championship-like aesthetics of this spine-tingling PSA 10 GEM MINT 1954 Bowman Russell Meyer marvel that has rightfully earned the pinnacle PSA assessment. A true "POP 1", it stands alone as the only Russell Meyer subject to achieve sheer grading perfection, with its "one of a kind" stature reserved for the finest collecting purists. Meyer's "half-body" pose is extraordinary to say the least, with the sparkling blue hues from his period style Brooklyn Dodgers jersey literally "stealing the show." The background reveals a classic "blue sky - green grass" baseball setting, with the well-centered image revealing a smidge of partiality towards the left edge. A gleaming obverse side surface has eluded any blemishes, and the four right-angled corners exhibit blistering sharp tips. Unique for the grade, its "best of the rest" status and unparalleled eye appeal combine to elevate this PSA 10 Meyer heirloom to an unprecedented level!
