The Mick led the American League four times in home runs; was a 20-time All-Star and a three-time AL MVP; and captured the rare Triple Crown in 1956. Still considered one of the greatest hitters in history, and certainly the greatest switch-hitter ever, Mantle's 18 home runs in World Series play remains intact more than 50 years after he led seven Yankees teams to World Series titles.
