This "UNIQUE" 1933 Goudey #173 Roscoe Holm signed rarity currently stands as the only know example of its kind! Authenticated by the Beckett Grading Co., the prestigious PSA, JSA and SGC companies have not authenticated a single other specimen. "Wattie Holm" has been scripted in black ink across his Cardinals jersey, with the seven-year St. Louis outfielder deciding to utilize his popular 'Wattie" nickname. Just as impressive is the card's superb VG+ aesthetics including a sparking Holm portrait image affixed to a robust blue setting. The card's "one of a kind" stature is significantly attributed to Holm's untimely death at the age of 48 (May 19, 1950) as a result of committing suicide via a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his head. Tragic to say the least, this miraculous heirloom preserves the memory of the mentally troubled Holm who via his early passing, most likely preserved the unique stature of this utmost rarity!
