1933 Goudey #222 Signed Charlie Gehringer (SGC AUTHENTIC)
One of baseball's greatest all-time second baseman, Hall of Famer Charlie Gehringer played his entire 19-year career in the "Motor City", posting a sensational .320 lifetime batting average while leading the Tigers to a World Series title in 1935. His signed 1933 Goudey #222 subject has been authenticated by SGC, with another scripted example realizing $7.1K in August 2020. The extremely bold black ink "Chas Gehringer" autograph reveals "9/10" strength, and although there is an aera of paper loss on his upper cap, it does not impede the classic signature that seldom surfaces on any of Gehringer's Goudey subjects!
