One of the greatest catchers in MLB history, the Yankees iconic backstop Bill Dickey retired with a spectacular .313 batting average, the second highest mark for a catcher behind Mickey Cochrane's .320 figure. The eleven-time all-star ably assisted the Yankees in winning seven World Series titles, and this autographed 1933 Goudey #19 subject stands as one of his most formidable keepsakes. Authenticated by SGC, the period-like black fountain pen script is situated beneath his right knee/pantaloons, with a few surface creases and abrasions not detracting from the timeless script. It should be noted that another signed Dickey '33 Goudey realized $3K in an October 2020 auction!
