This brilliantly signed 1933 Goudey #76 Mickey Cochrane subject reveals an extremely bold ink script depicting "9/10" strength. Graded "Authentic" by SGC, the salutation reads "Best Wishes – Mickey Cochrane", affixed to a sparkling obverse side image that reflects "VG-EX" aesthetics. Owner of two MVP awards, Hall of Famer Cochrane's second MVP was obtained for his outstanding 1934 campaign, the year he also led the Tigers to the A.L. Pennant. Cochrane still owns the highest lifetime average for a catcher (.320), and his popularity was so immense that he inspired Mutt Mantle to name his iconic son "Mickey" Mantle. Cochrane was a perfectionist, and this offering personifies that quality since it exhibits the brilliant aesthetics sought-after by meticulous collectors.
